Coronation Street star expecting first baby with actress fiancée

Former Coronation Street star Richard Fleeshman is expecting his first child with his actress fiancée.

The Craig Harris actor took to Instagram to share a video posted by fiancée Celinde Schoenmaker, which showed her walking into frame towards their pet cat Luna, with a visible baby bump.

‘We’ve not met you yet, but never been more in love,’ she wrote in the caption.

‘I don’t think Luna realizes she’s not gonna be cutest in the household for much longer,’ she added, before tagging Richard and pointing out that they have, ‘so many new adventures ahead’.

Their showbiz friends were quick to congratulate them on the news, with former Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher commenting: ‘Congratulations guys. You’ll be the most amazing parents! The start of an incredible journey.’

Celebrity Big Brother star and musical theatre actress Marisha Wallace also showed her excitement, saying: ‘FINALLY WE CAN SCREAM! MY BABY!’

Richard and Celinde got engaged on while on safari in Africa in 2022, with Richard being the one to pop the question.

‘Went to Africa with my girl. I’ll be heading home with a Fiancée,’ he revealed at the time.

Best known for playing Craig Harris on the ITV soap from 2002 to 2006, Richard was involved in several iconic storylines, including one that saw Craig and Rosie Webster (Helen Flanagan) become goths.

Since leaving the street, Richard has taken to the stage, starring in the West End and Broadway productions of Ghost: The Musical. He has also taken on roles in Legally Blonde and Sondheim’s Company.

In 2022, he starred in Netflix series The Sandman, and has since gone on to appear in Death in Paradise and The Ark, among other projects.
