Coronation Street star joins Casualty months after soap exit
Coronation Street’s Bill Fellows has joined the cast of Casualty.
The actor portrayed the role of Stu Carpenter in the ITV soap from 2021-2024. He was initially introduced as part of Corey Brent’s downfall storyline.
Stu was living as a homeless man and happened to come across key evidence that proved Corey was responsible for Seb Franklin’s death.
He was welcomed into the community after helping to put Corey behind bars, and then secured a job as a chef at Speed Daal.
Stu began a relationship with Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King), which faced challenges when she learnt the reason why Stu became homeless. It was revealed that he had spent years behind bars for murder, but it was eventually confirmed he didn’t commit the crime, his daughter did.
Stu left Weatherfield towards the end of last year. He had decided to move to Germany so he could be closer to Eliza, his granddaughter, and her dad.
Actor Bill Fellows is well known in the TV industry. As well as appearing in Corrie, he’s also starred in Ted Lasso, Doctors, and Broadchurch.
Now, the star appears to be adding another TV show to his credits list as he’s set to feature in medical drama Casualty.
Back in February, Bill shared a picture on his Instagram with a portion of his head, shoulder, and arm covered in prosthetics, making it look as though he’s been in a brutal incident.
He captioned it ‘Casualty Make Up’, more than likely confirming the incredible team behind the scenes at the show were responsible for the transformation.
Metro understands that Bill will appear in the next boxset of the show.
Casualty is currently in the middle of airing it’s latest mini-series, Internal Affairs.
So far, Flynn (Olly Rix) has joined the ED as Clinical Lead, Stevie (Elinor Lawless) has faced an emotional journey after being diagnosed with cancer, and in the latest episode, Rida (Sarah Seggari) was assaulted by Russell (Robert Bathurst).
