Coronation Street star ‘set to quit Weatherfield’ just days after debut episode airs
Coronation Street newcomer Robin Morrissey, who plays Summer Spellman's boyfriend Felix, has reportedly left the ITV soap after just a few weeks on the cobbles
Corrie’s new heartthrob Robin Morrisse is reportedly set to make a sharp exit from the cobbles mere weeks after his grand entrance.
Summer Spellman recently returned to Weatherfield from her American studies with her new beau Felix, leaving Billy and Paul gobsmacked.
But the drama doesn’t stop there Felix is about to drop a bombshell farewell on Summer after he clocks a snide remark about him on Paul’s Eyegaze tech.
In a frantic dash, Billy and Todd can’t hit mute quick enough before Felix flees. Robin, a Hollywood name who’s rubbed shoulders with A-listers like Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, and Hugh Grant in the epic flick Cloud Atlas, was a major coup for ITV chiefs.
Despite the fanfare around Robin’s debut scene, Corrie viewers were less than chuffed, fretting over the potential chaos he could cause in Summer’s family, especially with whispers of a affair plot with Todd Grimshaw.
This week, those fears seemed spot on as fans cast doubt over Felix’s true motives for cozying up to Summer. One eagle-eyed viewer took to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, throwing in their two pence: “I bet Summer’s new fella is actually a tutor from the university of America Who has come alone to use Paul as a ‘case study’ #Corrie.”
Another added: “Is Summer’s boyfriend with her to study Paul up and close. I dunno what to think about him. #Corrie” Someone else said: “#corrie Don’t let Felix anywhere near Paul.” A fourth person wrote: “I don’t like him, there’s something off about him. Run summer, run #Corrie.”
