Coronation Street’s Becky McDonald could be set to walk back on the cobbles as fans have predicted a huge Lisa Swain twist.
Lisa (played by Vicky Myers) first graced the soap in 2021, with her mischievous daughter Betsy (Sydney Martin) making her debut earlier in 2024. Little is known about Lisa’s history, except that her wife and fellow police officer, Becky, tragically died on duty in 2021.
As per Lisa’s account, Becky was pursuing a suspect who leapt into a getaway vehicle. Tragically, they ran her over, resulting in Becky’s death at the scene.
However, recent months have been tough for Lisa. In May, she was left heartbroken when her colleague Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) was brutally killed.

His death clearly stirred up painful memories from her past, reminding her of Becky. Moreover, Lisa confided in her new partner Carla (Alison King) that Becky was under investigation for corruption before her death, which put a strain on their relationship, reports Leicestershire Live.
Following Craig’s death, Lisa’s superior noticed her struggle and assigned her to desk duty, also mandating therapy sessions – much to her chagrin.
In Wednesday’s episode (July 10), Lisa attended her first session, showing little interest in sharing her feelings.

Lisa joked to the therapist about expecting to lie on a chaise lounge and “yap about how your parents love your sister more than you” before revealing that she was the “favourite”.
And now, following the soap’s confirmation of Lisa having a sibling, it hasn’t taken long for fans to conjure up theories about her identity.
On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one inquisitive individual wrote: “So Lisa has a sister? ! Hmmmm.”

Another fan chimed in, naming former resident and soap legend Becky McDonald (played by Katherine Kelly) as a potential sibling. They penned: “I’m thinking Becky McDonald.”
A third enthusiast expressed their agreement, saying “Yesss!” while another echoed their thoughts: “It would be a great way to get her back. Becky return looming then?” A fifth fan concurred, stating “100%!”.
Becky first burst onto the Coronation Street scene back in 2006, and during her six-year stint, she was at the centre of numerous pivotal moments – from her tumultuous marriage to Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) to two devastating miscarriages and her ardent desire to adopt a child.
However, in 2012, actress Katherine Kelly left fans reeling when she departed the soap – with Becky embarking on a fresh start in Barbados after her whirlwind romance and marriage to Steve.
