Coronation Street is set to revisit Cassie Plummer’s past as part of the Lauren Bolton disappearance storyline.
The teenager vanished last month, with the case now being treated as a murder investigation by police.
In new scenes set to air next Friday (March 22), rumour and speculation continue to spread around Weatherfield regarding Lauren’s disappearance.
When Evelyn sees an article describing Lauren as a sex worker, she is taken aback, while Roy is clear he doesn’t want to know the details.
Meanwhile, at No 9 Cassie reads the article, admitting to Tyrone that it brings back some painful memories. Cassie later hears Evelyn and Daisy discussing Lauren at the shop, angering her.
Tyrone reveals to Evelyn and Fiz that Cassie once had to resort to sex work, which leaves them stunned.

The latest twist has seen Weatherfield residents learn that Lauren’s disappearance is being treated as a murder investigation, which is worrying for Daniel Osbourne as it comes after DS Swain interviewed him as a potential suspect.
Opening up about the turn of events, Swain actress Vicky Myers told Digital Spy: “Swain is keen to find out exactly what Daniel’s up to – was he tutoring Lauren for sexual favours? As awful as that sounds, perhaps that’s exactly what’s been going on.
“We’re picking apart these people’s lives and how accepting the community is. But when you put it down on paper, you ask: ‘Is there an ulterior motive with this?’ So Swain is very much on that and wants to look into it further.”
