A Coronation Street child is in serious danger in a new spoiler video when their football lands in Tim and Sally Metcalfe’s (Joe Duttine and Sally Dynevor) hot tub.
When Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) is distracted by a call from the bank while she’s looking after Bertie Osbourne, he wanders off.
Meanwhile, Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) is getting reacquainted with former lover Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) while staying at No.4.
Cassie was recently cast out by the community after being exposed for drugging and stealing from Ken Barlow (William Roache).
However, it is clear that Steve still has a soft spot for her.
In the new spoiler video, he makes it clear that he hadn’t intended for things with Cassie to go as far as they have done, but Cassie is keen to keep the party going.
However, as they discuss their plans to take a dip in the hot tub, young Bertie wanders into the garden and finds his football floating in the water.
As he climbs the stairs to reach for it, disaster strikes.
Thankfully, Steve and Cassie find the young lad and manage to rescue him just in time.
With Jenny frantically searching the streets for Bertie, she is relieved when Cassie and Steve emerge with him.
However, Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) is completely furious about the whole situation as she reads Jenny the riot act.
Terrified that there may be underlying damage, she rushes Bertie to the hospital.
When fuming Daisy points out that Bertie could have drowned, just like Jenny’s son Tom did, Jenny is beside herself.
As Bertie is checked over by a doctor, will he be okay?
