Debbie Webster was left injured on Coronation Street on Monday night, leading to accusations about Mick ahead of her dementia diagnosis.
Newcomer Mick has clashed with Debbie and her partner Ronnie Bailey for weeks. Things escalated on Monday night when Debbie stormed out to the ginnel to have it out with Mick over his and wife Lou’s loud music coming from the house.
She was seen screaming out and warning him, threatening to go to the house if he didn’t turn it down. The window was open at the back of the house, while Debbie did not enter.
The camera panned away and when we next saw Debbie she was in a bad way. She was staggering in the other direction and in a daze, almost as though she had just got herself off of the floor.
Ronnie happened to be heading that way and saw her, rushing over to help her. As he held her she began sobbing, with him checking over her bloodied head wound.

It seemed as though she’d been attacked, with Ronnie convinced Mick was to blame. Debbie explained what had happened, and how she was there to have it out with Mick.
She didn’t understand what had happened telling Ronnie she had no clue how she got on the floor or hurt herself. Ronnie asked if someone might have hurt her but Debbie said she didn’t see anyone.
It’s then that she said how she was telling Mick to turn the music down, and Ronnie jumped straight to conclusions. He asked if Debbie thought it was Mick but she immediately downplayed this.
But Ronnie suggested it again saying she could not be certain it wasn’t Mick, to which she once again suggested this had not happened. She told Ronnie it was probably her shoes that caused her to fall, leading to her hitting her head on the floor.
But it was clear from Ronnie’s face that he wasn’t convinced, with him sure Mick may have taken violent action after another row. When he later saw Debbie in the pub he wasted no time in confronting him.

In front of everyone he told Mick about the incident with Debbie and how she’d been hit on the head. He went as far as to claim Mick assaulted her, but Mick refuted the claims and tried to have it out with Ronnie, only for Lou to intervene.
It seems the truth about Debbie’s accident is that she suffered a fall with the soap starting a sad storyline. It was announced months ago that Debbie would be diagnosed with dementia in the coming months, and now spoilers have hinted the storyline is beginning.
Debbie has been confused recently and acting out of character, while also forgetting things and misplacing items. It seems her injury to her head was likely sustained in a fall, ahead of her diagnosis on the show.
