Coronation Street ‘work out’ Kit’s real motive for moving into Rovers – and it’s bad news for Jenny

Coronation Street enthusiasts have pieced together a theory about the real reason Kit Green has taken up residence in the Rovers – and it spells trouble for pub landlady Jenny Connor. The dodgy copper, portrayed by Jacob Roberts, made his debut on the cobbles this year as Bernie’s (Jane Hazlegrove) long-lost offspring.

Soap legend Bernie surrendered Christopher ‘Kit’ Green for adoption nearly three decades ago. A few months back, she finally managed to locate him.

Meanwhile, Bernie’s twins Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Paul (Peter Ash) were gobsmacked to discover they had an additional sibling.

Moreover, Kit played a crucial role in getting creep Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) jailed for the murder of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton). Kit planted Lauren’s DNA in paedophile Nathan’s van, setting him up.

Since then, Kit has become a familiar face on the cobbles – but fans remain deeply suspicious of the policeman.

Particularly since he recently moved into the iconic pub, Rovers Return, taking over Glenda Shuttleworth’s (Jodie Prenger) former room, reports the Liverpool Echo.

However, viewers are puzzled by Kit’s decision to move into the pub, noting that he has a swanky home, glimpsed in his initial scenes on the soap.

Furthermore, some fans suspect Kit has a hidden agenda for moving into the Rovers – and it doesn’t bode well for pub owner Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews).

Fans of Coronation Street have cooked up a theory about newcomer Kit, flocking to social media with speculation that he could be plotting something sinister.

On a dedicated Corrie fan forum, one eagle-eyed viewer remarked: “Kit moving into the rovers…” coupled with “How long till a potential siege as he is a dodgy cop.. could be a storyline to look out for potentially maybe.. not heard out but could be interesting.” (sic)

While another said: “I don’t understand why he’s moved there? Perhaps he’s planning some sort of robbery, I wouldn’t put it past him.” (sic)

The pot-stirring didn’t end there, as yet another chimed in with: “He’s probably going to try and take down the Rovers.” (sic)

Finally, one more fan shared their dread, writing: “Not again! I hope not.”
