Some Coronation Street viewers think they have worked out a major new DNA twist on the ITV soap.
A new character on the show linked to Dylan Wilson is thought to have links to other characters in Weatherfield, and it could lead to a paternity bombshell. After a comment made by newcomer Brody this week in the STC, fans immediately speculated he was related to new couple Mick and Lou.
Brody had said his parents had just moved to Weatherfield, leaving fans sure he could be the son of Chesney Brown and Gemma Winter’s neighbours from hell. It had been teased the couple had children who we are yet to meet onscreen, and now fans think troublemaker Brody is their child.
But a new theory could lead to drama, and it’s linked to another Weatherfield resident. After Corrie boss Kate Brooks recently told The Mirror that Mick and Lou would share a mystery link to Kit, which would “open the floodgates”, fans think a twist is on the way.
The new theory is that Brody is the secret son of detective Kit and he might not have a clue. Fans are wondering if Lou and Kit had an affair in the past, and this might be the secret link Kate had hinted at.

Could the affair have led to her falling pregnant with Brody? One fan speculated: “Good one and I wonder if Kit is his dad as it said they both know Kit. I wonder if he had an affair with Lou years ago, or if they all hang about with each other.”
Viewers will have to stay tuned to see if Brody really is related to Mick and Lou, and what the link with Kit is. It comes after fans shared their suspicions about Brody being linked to the couple, after he talked about his parents.
One theory read: “After tonight’s #corrie I am even more convinced that Brody is Lou and Mick’s eldest son.” Another fan agreed: “Could Mick and Lou be Brody’s parents? The boy who is in the prison with Dylan?”
A third viewer posted online: “I think he is xx,” with another agreeing: “Me too.” This was backed by a comment that read: “He said that his parents have just moved into weather field. So I would say 100% yes.”
A further comment said: “From him saying his parents moved to Weatherfield I’d say a big yes.” The comments did not stop coming in though with another poster sharing: “Is Mick and Lou’s son in the same prison as Dylan?”
