A new Coronation Street spoiler video has revealed the moment Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) is forced to lie about her son Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) being dead.

Paul is currently battling a heartbreaking terminal motor neurone disease diagnosis – but is still very much alive.

In the video, a suspicious man (Danny Cunningham) watches Bernie from afar and approaches her to say he’d heard Paul being interviewed by Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) on her student radio show.

The two pass insults, and it’s evident that they aren’t pleased to be in each other’s company!

It’s obvious that the suspicious man is in fact Denny, the father of Paul and his twin-sister Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell).

Remembering his violence to her family, Bernie quickly covers and says that the broadcast was a repeat – he’d clearly missed the beginning where it was explained that he had since passed away.

Denny looks shell shocked at the revelation, whilst Bernie stares up at the florist flat windows knowing that Paul could come face to face with him!

We know that the situation will escalate when he follows her, and will attempt to make amends with his children.

Whilst Gemma is adamant that she doesn’t want her dad in her life, Paul looks at it in a different perspective and invites him to be part of the last months of his life.

However, things go from bad to worse when, during a movie night between father and son, Denny heads to buy some snacks and a horrifying setback occurs at the flat.

With Paul alone, he begins to become short of breath and collapses into the sofa, unable to speak to the operator on the other side of the phone when calling 999.

Will he be okay?
