Coronation Street’s Cassie confronted over Abi’s deepfake horror as culprit ‘solved’

Coronation Street fans will see Cassie Plummer slammed by another character next week, amid her cruel jibes at Abi Franklin.

With Abi at the centre of a deepfake porn ordeal, with someone setting her up with faked sex tapes, Cassie could be the culprit according to fans. Now, she finds herself confronted by her son Tyrone Dobbs over her behaviour following her meddling in Abi’s relationship with husband Kevin Webster.

Whether Cassie really is behind the vids and the attack on Abi remains to be seen. Abi knows someone is out to get her, and is trying to ruin her life.

At the same time she’s got Cassie trying to drive a wedge between her and Kevin, spreading gossip and causing all kinds of drama. Tyrone has enough though, and it seems Cassie loses her job at Kevin’s garage.

Spoilers for next week reveal that Tyrone urges Cassie to make amends in order to get her job back. He tears strips off her for trying to cause drama between Abi and Kevin, and suggests she apologises to them.

But will she do the right thing and fix things? Does Cassie also get found out as the person behind the videos, or is it someone else entirely out to get Abi? We saw drug dealer Dean protesting his innocence recently as Abi accused him of being the culprit.

Abi was horrified as it appeared a sex tape from her past that she had no recollection of had been shared online. She soon realised she’d been set up, and the person she thought was behind it was not to blame.

Not only that but there were multiple videos, and it quickly emerged that they were deepfake videos, manipulated so that Abi’s face was placed over the person in the footage. Realising someone was targeting her, Abi set out to find out who was doing it and why.

Cassie, Dean and Max Turner have all been accused of making the videos, but spoilers have not confirmed who it really is. The horror continues next week as the videos are shared once more, leading to some sad news.
