In a new video shared to the Coronation Street Instagram page, Catherine could be seen all dolled up as Eva as she stood next to the soap’s brand new signings – Aaron McCusker and Pauline McClynn.

In the clip, Cath can be heard saying: “I want to introduce you to my new family!”

Aaron then introduces himself as Ben Driscoll – Eva’s new husband before Pauline reveals that she will be playing Maggie Driscoll, the mother of Ben and mother-in-law of Eva.

Returning star Cath then said: “Stay tuned for all the drama and all the giggles.”

Commenting underneath the clip, one fan said: “Yay!! Can’t wait for Cath to return… looking forward to Aaron and Pauline too! Great casting.”

As another added: “Omg I can’t wait but will they be bringing back Eva’s daughter Susie? It would be good to see her all grown up.”

Before a third penned: “Oh wow, welcome back Eva. I really missed your character and isn’t that the Actor from Hope Street and Mrs. Doyle?

“You’ve always been way more fun than Toyah. Finally Corrie has a good family coming on the Street.”

The Sun first told yesterday how Catherine had been back filming the show.

Cath has even dyed her hair back to bright blonde for the role – Eva’s signature look.

As part of her comeback, Eva and Aaron will become the new owners of the Rovers and follow in her mother, Stella’s footsteps.

Eva first arrived on the show in 2011 when she moved into the iconic boozer alongside her family.

A TV insider said: “Corrie bosses were never going to take EastEnders shrewd decision to reinstate Kat and Alfie at the Vic lying down.

“So they took their time looking for the perfect actor to play her husband to Eva as she makes her return to Corrie as the new boss of the Rovers.

“When Aaron walked in, and once paired with Catherine, bosses knew they had the perfect partnership to run the soap’s iconic pub.

“Aaron will bring his Irish charm to the pub, and the chemistry between him and Cath is electric.

“They are both very happy and loved-up.

“But Aaron’s character is also someone not to be messed with, and the locals are going to be in for a shock if they think they can take advantage of his good nature and that cheeky Irish charm.

“It’s the start of an exciting new chapter in the pub’s history.”
