Coronation Street’s Daniel Osbourne involved in a new dramatic love triangle
Coronation Street is about to enter another tense love triangle as Bethany and Daniel go through a rocky patch and someone from Daniel's past offers a shoulder to cry on
Tonight’s episode of Coronation Street (December 11) sees Daniel Osbourne enter yet another love triangle which is set to put his relationship with Bethany in jeopardy.
Soap fans can catch the episode before it is set to air at 8pm tonight. The episodes are released the morning of on the streaming service ITVX. Tonight’s saw a huge twist with Daniel (Rob Mallard) sleeping with his former fiance, Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) and putting his relationship with Bethany (Lucy Fallon) at risk.
In a twist, the episode began with Bethany telling Daniel she’s leaving him as he doesn’t make her happy anymore. She has had a long battle with her self confidence following the introduction of her stoma bag. Daniel also shouted at her earlier this week after he found out she had been lying at her support group about having cancer – something he thought was an insult to Sinead’s memory.
Before that, Bethany noticed Jenny behind the bar wearing her clothes. Daniel had disrespected her wishes to get rid of her old clothes, and gave them to Daisy.
Bethany headed to Daniel’s to pick up her belongings. Daniel, however, headed over to the Rovers and confided in Daisy about what had happened. In the back room, they got closer and closer.
Clearly still not over Daniel, Daisy pulled him in for a kiss and he did not back away. The former couple then slept together.
Smitten, Daisy told Daniel they should tell Bethany they were back together. However, before she could get too carried away Daniel revealed he was upset he gave into temptation. He said: “It shouldn’t have happened just now – I shouldn’t have let it happen. It’s all my fault, I am so sorry.”
Daisy offers Daniel a shoulder to cry on
Daisy quickly brought up her efforts to cover up his drink driving incident, to which he replied: “Gratitude’s no basis for a relationship, is it? I just don’t think that we should be together. I am so sorry. There’s no justification for it. All I can say is my head was all over the place – I don’t know what I wanted.
“I’m weak and I’m selfish and I’m somebody that you are better off without – Bethany too.”
However, as he got back to the flat he found Bethany waiting willing to give their relationship another try. Daniel made the decision to keep quiet about what happened.
