Coronation Street’s Eileen Grimshaw’s exit storyline revealed as she gets devastating news about son Jason
SHE got some terrible news about son Jason tonight
CORONATION Street’s Eileen Grimshaw’s exit storyline has been revealed after she got devastating news about son Jason tonight.
The taxi cab office operator – who is played by actress Sue Cleaver in the ITV soap – got disturbing news tonight that means she has to leave Weatherfield urgently.
Viewers know Eileen has recently discovered that son Todd went snooping to find her partner George Shuttleworth’s will to check he was included.
But instead he found a will from George’s late dad Archie, that said everything should be split between George and his sister Glenda.
As it stands George inherited the business himself and Glenda didn’t get a penny.
Eileen was horrified at Todd’s snooping but warned him that George must be told about the will.
But then she got a phone call from son Jason’s girlfriend in Thailand.
“Jason’s broken his back,” said Eileen deadpan to a stunned George.
“He’s stable, but he came off his moped. Again. Only this time he’s found himself bed bound in some Thai hospital.
“I just booked a flight for tomorrow. He needs me love.”
Once George left, Eileen warned Todd that she would be telling George before she leaves unless he does.
Will she follow through on her threat?
In real-life actress Sue is taking a break from the soap to star in the Sister Act The Musical UK tour.
But she will be back filming in May once her dates on the tour come to an end.
