Coronation Street’s Lauren Bolton is set to share a secret with friends Max Turner and Sabrina Adetiba in upcoming scenes.
In the last couple of months, Lauren claimed to have a rich boyfriend who gave her expensive presents including a necklace – but she remained quiet about who he actually was.
Max and Sabrina questioned whether Lauren was lying about having a new partner, and shortly after they suggested the four of them all meet up, Lauren suddenly revealed that they had split up.
But viewers are aware that Lauren is in fact in contact with a mystery man because she’s been taking secret phone calls, although his identity is yet to be revealed.
In scenes that will air next week (on February 13, 14 and 16), Lauren struggles when she finds that all the books she needs for her upcoming exam are out on loan at the library.
When she tells this to new friend Bobby Crawford, he gives the list to Evelyn in the hope she can find some of them at the charity shop.
Bobby has a crush on Lauren and even gives her a bunch of flowers later in the week. But he’s soon upstaged when a delivery man enters the café with a much bigger bouquet for Lauren.
Lauren gets a phone call and Bobby assumes she’s already seeing someone. But she tells the person on the end of the phone to leave her alone and that she doesn’t need their money – despite receiving a final demand from her energy company.
Bobby is thrilled when Lauren accepts his offer of a date, clearly keen to move on from her mystery ex.
But when friends Max and Sabrina later visit her flat to find her sexily dressed, she eventually reveals to them that she makes videos for O-Vidz – the same adult site that Ryan Connor used.
Is this linked to her mystery boyfriend, and what else is Lauren hiding?
