Coronation Street’s Lauren ‘found’ – and Bobby is ‘hiding dark secret’

Coronation Street fans are growing increasingly worried for Lauren Bolton after bloodstains were found in her flat, with the teen herself missing.

With Roy Cropper set to be dragged further into the frame after tidying Lauren’s flat and washing her clothes after sacking her, Bobby Crawford has been on the hunt, urging the cops to search for Lauren and informing them about bruises found on her body. He’s thrown suspicion at Roy – but fans now think it’s Bobby himself who could have something to do with Lauren going missing.

Turning to Reddit to share their theories, one fan wondered: “What are we thinking has happened to Lauren? At first I thought that she had just moved to another town and not told anyone […] but now that bloodstains under the UV light have been found I’m really not sure.”

One conspiracy theorist immediately followed up: “Hopefully it’s Bobby, because he’s putting on such a performance blaming other people to throw the police off his trail, even going so far as to blame Roy who I am sure we all know is perfectly innocent.”

Another followed up: “Love that idea. Then we can get rid of him via a one episode court trial followed by a 50 year stretch.” Others pointed out how Bobby had thrown Lauren’s OVidz work in her face, explaining: “Sure he wanted a roll in the sack, but you could see how judgemental he became as he found out. I hope that when it’s all said and done, she sees him for what he is.”

Over on X – formerly Twitter – fans had the same thought, with one penning: “It was Bobby. His creepy and obsessive behaviour went too far and then wham, Lauren’s gone.” Another said: “Creepy Bobby has known Lauren for all of five minutes. I put it to you, officer, that he’s tried to get his mucky paws on her, she’s gone, ‘Hell no’ and he’s whacked her. He seems to know a hell of a lot and is trying to frame Roy.”

Other fans think Bobby could have a secret connection to Bethany Platt’s old groomer and fiancé, Nathan Curtis. Nathan intended to sell Bethany as a sex slave abroad, but thankfully the police stopped him before he could complete his plan and he was found guilty of rape.

Fans have suggested Bobby’s dad Rob, who is also in prison, could have connected with Nathan – and Bobby could be helping to recruit young women to be part of his grooming ring. One fan suggested: “Maybe Bobby is connected to Nathan somehow and Bethany finds out, is appropriately devastated, etc. etc. Ooh maybe his dad was/is in prison with Nathan?”

Another proposed: “Both Bobby and Bethany have involvement with Lauren, Bobby romantically and Bethany was going to interview Lauren over her far-right connections with the Griff gang. Bethany has already made contact with some of the gang and then Lauren disappeared.

“Is Lauren going to be missing for an extended period? There is also speculation over connections to when Bethany was groomed and if Lauren is now a victim of Nathan who groomed Bethany.”

If Bobby truly is up to something, using Roy to throw the police off his own scent makes sense – especially as he was one of the last people to see Lauren.
