Coronation Street’s Leanne Battersby to recruit residents to join ‘The Institute’

Coronation Street favourite Leanne Battersby might not be the only cobbles resident to join The Institute, as AI warns other residents could join the cult in the near future

Coronation Street favourite Leanne Battersby could be set to enlist cobbles residents to join ‘The Institute’, AI has claimed.

Over the past few weeks, ITV fans have been glued to their screens as the fan-favourite attempts to repair her relationship with her fiancé Nick Tilsley. Last month, viewers watched her son Simon Barlow fell into a downward spiral after his father Peter separated from his wife Carla and left the cobbles.

Since then, the hunk started binge drinking throughout the day, and even got into a car crash with her stepson Sam Blakeman. This inevitably caused a huge wedge between the couple and left their relationship on the rocks.

In an effort to get things back on track, Leanne decided to pop the question to the silver fox, which he begrudgingly agreed to. While the blonde beauty excitedly prepares for her upcoming nuptials, the bride-to-be met Rowan Cunliffe as he introduced her to his wellness group, The Autovalent Institute.

More recently, the Bistro owner has become increasingly interested in Rowan’s club and has even started incorporating her their practices at home. Last week, fans watched the star “reality coding” to improve her life by manifesting her future.

In upcoming scenes, Leanne shows Toyah some of the seminars she has been watching the Rowan lead online. It’s at this point that she encourages her to take part and watch more clips with her, however her close pal quickly turned her down.

Now, Daily Star has put one of the most popular artificially intelligent “creative” tools Gemini through if Leanne will encourage any other residents to join the group. When asked if any other residents will fall for Rowan’s spell, the AI system warned: “It’s possible Leanne Battersby could recruit Coronation Street residents to join The Institute.”

The programme went on to outline several ways in which the businesswoman could encourage others to join the group. It went on: “Leanne seems genuinely to believe The Institute can help people. This sincerity might resonate with some residents who are struggling.

“The Institute’s teachings on ‘reality coding’ could be appealing to some residents seeking personal growth or change.” However, the system went on to point out that she may struggle to be successful due to the group’s reputation as a cult.

It argued: “The recent storyline portrays The Institute, Altovate Institute, in a negative light. Rowan, the leader, seems suspicious and Leanne’s friends and family are worried about her involvement. This negativity might dissuade residents.”

Another hurdle Leanne would have to overcome is her influence within the community. Gemini pointed out: “Leanne has been a popular character for a long time, but her judgement can be clouded, especially in romantic relationships.

“Residents might be cautious following her lead, particularly if they see The Institute as odd.” It comes after actor Emrhys Cooper opened up about what his character is really plotting on the cobbles.

He revealed: “Rowan’s main role at Autovalent is recruitment. He travels all over to present conferences and seminars, identifying the more receptive people and encouraging them into the fold.

How will The Institute will impact Leanne’s life?

“Once he’s done that, he schools them in how to recruit others. Rowan does not view Autovalent as a con. He can see people that are more susceptible. He can definitely see that Leanne is packing a lot, and he knows the right buttons to press.”

Fans will have to stay tuned to see how The Institute will impact Leanne’s life and how this will affect her relationships on the cobbles.
