Gary Windass (Mikey North) has some explaining to do in Coronation Street next week as wife Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) catches him leaving their flat with ex-girlfriend Sarah Barlow (Tina O’Brien).

To make matters worse, she has video evidence of them hugging!

Viewers of the ITV soap will remember that Maria installed a hidden camera in their Victoria Court apartment to monitor son Liam (Charlie Wrenshall) after learning he’d been contemplating suicide.

The teen had been bullied by his peers Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) and Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) for months, and at one point was even threatened with a knife.

Earlier this month, after her boyfriend Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths) was sent down for his part in a botched robbery, Sarah headed to D&A&A Alahan’s for a bottle of wine to drown her sorrows.

On her way home she bumped into Gary, and having had his own falling out with Maria that morning, he invited her to spend the afternoon with him.

The two had a heart to heart, and when she became emotional, he hugged her.

However, it later became apparent that the incriminating footage would be available on Maria’s phone, and he rushed to destroy the evidence.

Next week, after telling Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) and Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) about Liam’s woes, Maria returns home and finds Sarah with Gary again… and looking shifty.

Noticing their unease, she places the camera back on the side and leaves.

Blissfully unaware that Maria is watching them, Gary sees Sarah out and hugs her again, promising that they’ll keep their distance from one another moving forward.

As the latest spoiler video shows, she later confronts the two over their actions!

Oh dear…

Later in the week, Gary is hopeful of a reconciliation but Maria makes it clear that’s not an option and focuses on Liam’s first therapy session.

Confiding in her brother Kirk Sutherland (Andy Whyment), she admits that she feels like the worst mum in the world.
