Coronation Street’s Matty and Logan officially dealt with – but not by David
Matty and Logan Radcliffe (Seamus McGoff and Harry Lowbridge) have caused their fair share of trouble on Coronation Street, and in tonight’s episode they had their sights set on David Platt (Jack P Shepherd).
David was shocked when the lads revealed that they knew he had stolen Harvey Gaskell’s (Will Mellor) cash, and that they had been instructed to get it back.
Nervous, David feigned ignorance, but soon realised just how serious Harvey was about getting his money back.
Arriving in the salon, David was horrified to find Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) locked inside with Matty and Logan.
He was quick to usher them out, revealing that he’d already spent the money on the deposit for Gail Platt’s (Helen Worth) house.
The lads warned him that if he didn’t pay them the money he owed, they would get it from Audrey.
Desperate to keep his family safe, David tried to get the money back from the house deposit, but when that failed, he came up with a new plan.
Having been sent to collect Gail and Jesse Chadwick’s (John Thomson) wedding rings, David met up with Matty and Logan and offered to pay them in instalments, starting with the rings.
When he returned home sporting a bruised face, Jesse and Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) were horrified as he revealed he had been mugged, and the rings had been stolen.
He explained that he had been jumped by four lads on e-bikes and had already reported the incident to police – however, it didn’t take long for his lies to come undone.
Shona wasted no time in asking DC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) about the case, and their conversation soon led them to discover that David had told them both different stories.
When Shona confronted him about it, David was forced to come clean, and revealed how he had stolen from Harvey to buy Gail’s house.
Shona was understandably horrified that he would put their family in danger, and threatened to report him to the police.
Fortunately for him, she soon came up with a better idea.
Though he initially refused, she was quick to remind him that she had kept her mouth shut about Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) nearly running her over, and pointed out that he owed her.
With little choice, Kit cornered Matty and attacked him, warning him to stay away from David and the Platts from now on.
Will the Radcliffe brothers heed Kit’s warning, or are the Platts still in deadly danger?
