Coronation Street’s Roy Cropper forced towards murder confession after hostage taken
Roy Cropper (David Neilson) is backed into the corner of his prison cell in Coronation Street soon as a stranger issues an ultimatum after kidnapping Freddie the dog.
Despite the fact we know Roy hasn’t been involved in Lauren’s (Cait Fitton) disappearance, a series of unfortunate events have occurred that make him seem like the main suspect.
Right now, Roy is behind bars, with his loved ones at home desperately trying to hold things together and find something that indicates he is an innocent man.
In upcoming episodes, Sam (Jude Riordan) pops by the cafe to collect Freddie for his walk.
As Sam heads out with the pooch, he remains unaware a sleuth is watching him.
Later, Sam returns to the cafe and is completely distraught. He reveals to Nina (Mollie Gallagher) that Freddie ran off and doesn’t know where he is.
After Nina and Toyah (Georgia Taylor) spend time looking for him, Nina returns to the cafe and discovers Evelyn (Maureen Lipman) and Asha (Tanisha Gorey) have found an important video.
As it plays, the sleuth reveals they have taken Freddie hostage and in order to secure his safe return, Roy must confess to Lauren’s murder.
But what will they do next?
Could Roy go to prison for potentially the rest of his life for a crime he did not commit?
