Coronation Street’s Roy Cropper to come under suspicion over Lauren Bolton’s disappearance
Is Roy about to land himself in big trouble?
Coronation Street‘s Roy Cropper is set to face suspicion over Lauren Bolton’s mysterious disappearance.
Lauren was last seen on the cobbles last week. Roy paid her a visit to deliver her final wages after he’d sacked her from the café because she’d been caught stealing money from Bethany Platt.
Although Lauren told Roy it might time for her to leave Weatherfield, Bobby’s subsequent visit to her unlocked flat indicated that there could be more to the story.
In scenes airing next week, Bobby records an appeal with Suki from the Gazette in a desperate attempt to find Lauren.
As the last known person to have seen Lauren, Suki also interviews Roy, but his appeal is underwhelming and Bobby listens in despair.
Later on, Evelyn informs Roy that she’s had to give up Lauren’s flat because the landlord found out she’d been sub-letting it. Roy reassures her, confident that Lauren has started fresh elsewhere and will be fine.
When Roy learns that Evelyn will be charged for the state Lauren’s flat was left in, he offers to clean it up.
However, this raises suspicions from Bobby, who shows up to the flat to find Roy rummaging through Lauren’s belongings. Is Roy about to land himself in big trouble?
Recent paparazzi photos from the soap’s set revealed that Roy will face a court appearance this year. Could this be connected to Lauren’s disappearance?
