Coronation Street’s Ryan makes unsettling discovery about Daisy – and it spells the end

When Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) and Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) were reconciled after he returned to Coronation Street following his stay in Scotland, it looked like they might have a future together.

Daisy was previously engaged to Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), but all through their engagement she was being stalked by twisted Justin Rutherford (Andrew Still).

His vile behaviour culminated in him attacking Daisy with acid, and Ryan happened to be with her when it happened and got most of the acid in his own face as he tried to defend Daisy.

This shattering act of violence drew Daisy and Ryan closer together as they each understood what the other had gone through. Eventually their mutual attraction trend into passion. When Daniel found out about their affair he was devastated and his relationship with Daisy broke down.

Meanwhile Ryan had tried to move on with girlfriend Crystal as he headed for a new life in Scotland, but before long he was back and he and Daisy embarked on a relationship.

Their romance hasn’t been without its issues recently, though. When police officer Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) moved into the Rovers he was soon flirting with Daisy – but it turned out to be Ryan whose head was turned by Kit.

Not in a romantic sense – but because Kit had a really impressive vinyl collection, and superstar DJ Ryan was a little bit overwhelmed with excitement.

In fact he even went so far as to put off a date with Daisy so he could spend his night off with Kit instead. This was not a very clever move and Ryan soon realised the error of his ways and took Daisy out after all.

But it hints that the Daisy/Ryan relationship is perhaps not 100% rock solid.

In upcoming episodes Kit has decided that the Rovers, despite being gossip central and therefore the perfect hub for a bent copper, is a bit too crowded and he eyes a move to Redbank.

Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews) speculates that it’s the very same flat that Daisy and Daniel were once going to buy as their newlywed home. Ryan can’t help noticing that Daisy reacts strangely when Jenny brings this up.

Could it be that she’s not over Daniel after all and she’s regretting the way things turned out between them?

And if so, where does that leave Ryan?
