CORONATION Street’s Sean Tully has made a devastating discovery about son Dylan tonight.
The knicker stitcher-cum-barman – who is played by actor Antony Cotton in the ITV soap – has been steadfastly refusing to accept his son Dylan has been bullying Liam Connor.
But after Liam’s stepdad Gary Windass attacked Mason following the discovery that Liam has been contemplating suicide, forcing Sean to step in, he realised something was amiss.
As Eileen and George pointed out Dylan’s story of not hearing Mason say anything to Gary didn’t make sense, he told his son to hand over his phone.
But when Dylan argued, Sean realised he was hiding something, and he looked on in mounting horror as he searched through the bullying messages.
Dylan insisted that it “wasn’t a big deal” leaving Sean furious.
“It’s not that big of a deal?” thundered Sean as he realised the scale of the bullying Dylan had been subjecting Liam to.
“Look me in the eye and tell me that. You can’t, can you? You’ve taken us all for fools. Cracking on like Liam’s bullying you when it’s you that’s the bully.
“I know what that word means, I’ve got a bloodstained t-shirt to prove it. Why do you think I go to Manchester on a float once a year?
“You sent nasty messages to Liam, including a homophobic one. You’ve got a gay dad. How could you even do that to your mate?
“You’re meant to be calling out bullying, not joining in. Liam’s leaving the school – what have you done to him?”
Dylan insisted: “It’s just banter, I’m not the only one.”
Sean exploded, telling him: “I am ashamed of you. This is the worst thing I could find out about my son. Get out.”
Sean was forced to face up to what he’d done by Eileen and George and he went to visit Maria and Gary to apologise.
However Maria told him she will be continuing with the complaint against Mason and Dylan.
Later Dylan apologised to him and agreed to report Mason, but then Mason turned up and issued a chilling threat to him if he grassed him up.
Will Dylan now become Mason’s victim?
