Corrie Daisy star teases Bethany lesbian romance — and Lucy Fallon is up for it too
Corrie's Daisy hasn’t had much luck when it comes to love on the soap - but now, actress Charlotte Midgeley has teased that her character could be shacking up with Bethany Platt
Coronation Street star Charlotte Jordan has teased her character’s potential romance with Bethany Platt on the ITV soap.
Actress Charlotte made her soap debut in 2020 – playing Daisy Midgeley. As the stepdaughter of Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews), it didn’t take long for her to become a firm favourite with fans.
What’s more, Daisy has had her fair share of drama on the cobbles too – from a horrific acidic attack to a cheating scandal. But it appears a shock new romance could be on the cards for Daisy – and actress Charlotte is totally up for it.
Over on a Reddit thread, a fan shared a screenshot from Charlotte’s Instagram story during a Q&A. The brunette beauty was asked: “what are your thoughts on Daisy and bethany cos lufal [Lucy Fallon who plays Bethany] said she wants to kiss you xoxo.”
Alongside a snap of herself and Bethany actor Lucy Fallon posing, she wrote: “I mean she might be getting a sickness bug from her baby atm but once that has fully cleared there will be NO argument from me.”
Fans were quick to throw their support behind Daisy and Bethany’s romance. One person said: “Oh that would be amazing!” Someone else added: “Definitely, I’d much prefer this to Carla and Swain.”
A third chimed in and wrote: “If this happens my faith in the show will be restored.” Another penned: “I wouldn’t complain like.”
Last year, Charlotte revealed her desire to work with Lucy now she’s back. Speaking to Inside Soap about how Daisy will react to the return of Bethany, actor Charlotte said: “I imagine there will be another love triangle.”
She added: “Me and Lucy hung out at the Inside Soap Awards, and we’re both really looking forward to working together.” When asked what she hopes for the future storyline, Charlotte added: “I hope Daisy and Bethany clash, and then something brings them together. If Daisy could have a friend, that would be great.”
“And also, obviously, they both want the same thing. And I think there’s going to be a bit of a power battle between them both.”
