Corrie Lauren’s real murderer ‘exposed’ – and it’s not Roy or Daniel
EXCLUSIVE: Coronation Street fans have had their magnifying glasses and deerstalkers at the ready while poring over the whodunnit surrounding Lauren Bolton’s disappearance
Coronation Street fans are sure they’ve worked out who killed Lauren Bolton in the ITV soap – and it’s not either of the two main suspects.
Roy Cropper was questioned by cops after deep cleaning Lauren’s apartment, where police later found bloodstains – but Roy was only doing a favour for Evelyn. Daniel Osbourne was also brought in while DS Swain questioned him about his tutoring relationship with her, and pointed to his past with sex workers which threw him in the frame.
But fans don’t think either Roy or Daniel is responsible for potentially killing Lauren, as they’ve suggested another familiar face who seems desperate to escape the cobbles. That man is Dom Everett, who is fleeing to Germany after selling his daughter Eliza to Stu.
Dom and Eliza reunited with plans for her to eventually move to mainland Europe with her father, but Dom didn’t seem overly keen on telling the rest of his family about her. And desperate to get out of the UK, suspicions are now falling on him as a potential killer.
Taking to X, one fan suggested Dom could have a secret connection to Lauren, hence why he wants to disappear so quickly. One user penned: “I think Eliza’s dad Dom may be connected to Lauren’s disappearance. He seems sheepish about going to Germany and no real explanations.
“He wants to protect his daughter from a ring of nasty people. It could be Lauren has fled after attacking someone, either way I don’t think she’s dead,” they added.
Others suggested Dom may have got involved with Lauren via her O-Vidz account and realised she was underage, thus killing her to cover up his trail. One wrote: “I think Lauren is Dom’s fiancée Ava’s daughter. He has been having an inappropriate relationship with her for years and moved his fiancée and son to Germany to stop them from finding out.”
Another suggested: “Surely it has to be someone left field and not previously seen to be with Lauren? My current suspect is Dom.” A fourth fan wrote: “It would be funny if Dom turned out to be Lauren’s ‘boyfriend’. I suppose he was cash rich for a while.”
A different X user said: “I reckon they connected over the Corrie version of OnlyFans – O-Vidz? – and he realised what he was doing was illegal (she’s not 18 is she?) and offed her or kidnapped her to hide the evidence.”
To dig deeper into the mystery, Daily Star quizzed Google’s AI tool Gemini about potential suspects – and ways Lauren could be connected to Dom. The artificial intelligence replied: “They could have worked together, and perhaps Lauren stumbled upon something related to Dom that put her in danger.
“Perhaps Dom witnessed an argument or interaction Lauren had with someone else, which could be a clue to who might have wanted to harm her. It’s also possible that Dom was unintentionally involved in the events leading up to Lauren’s death, even if he wasn’t directly responsible.”
