Coronation Street's Lauren Bolton recently returned to the cobbles and declared she's pregnant with Joel Deering's baby - and fans are convinced they know when she will give birth
Coronation Street fans ‘worked out’ when Lauren Bolton will give birth on the ITV soap.
The troubled teen, played by Cait Fitton, made a surprise return to the cobbles this month after disappearing in February and being presumed dead, sparking a long-running mystery plotline.
Viewers later discovered that she had been brutally attacked by lawyer Joel Deering, portrayed by Callum Lill, who left her for dead. After months of hiding, Lauren visited Roy Cropper (David Neilson) in hospital last week following his heart attack, which occurred weeks after he was imprisoned for Lauren’s ‘murder.
‘ However, things took a shocking turn when Joel confronted Lauren at the hospital, attempting to attack her again in a family room. In a surprising twist, Lauren shielded her stomach, revealing to Joel that she was carrying his child.
Flashbacks during the episode also revealed the truth about her disappearance and her relationship with Joel. The villainous solicitor manipulated Lauren into a sexual relationship after helping her with bills.
Lauren managed to escape from Joel last week, but in Wednesday’s episode (July 17), she is found by Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) and Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon), reports the Express.
Lauren’s petrified to step out, but Dee-Dee manages to persuade her that the hospital’s the safest place for a prenatal once-over. But when Joel rocks up at the hospital, Lauren’s left startled.
The news of Lauren’s pregnancy has got viewers in a frenzy, with some eagle-eyed fans ‘sussing out’ her due date.
On X, one switched-on fan posted: “She’s five months pregnant. Ah, they’ve tied it in with Super Soap Week then! Halloween week is always super soap week.”
They cheekily added: “That’s it then – Lauren will have her baby down a Coronation Street sinkhole! “. Another soap sleuth reckons Christmas could be when Lauren pops. They chimed in: “Lauren’s bound to give birth at Christmas.”
Over on a fan forum, another viewer speculated: “The baby is due in 4 months so perhaps a bonfire night extravaganza.” To which another replied: “Or maybe an early super soap week in October birth.”
