Corrie ‘rumble’ real identity of masked robbers as Glenda brutally attacked

Coronation Street fans believe they have worked out the real identity of the two masked robbers who broke into the Rovers Return and attacked Glenda in the middle of the night

Coronation Street fans are convinced they’ve figured out who the terrifying robbers following Glenda terrifying attack.

During Friday’s visit to the ITV cobbles, Glenda was forced to hold down the fort in the Rovers Return. New owners Daisy Midgeley and Ryan Connor ran off for a night at the Lake District meanwhile Jenny Connor went off for a night out with the girls.

The auburn beauty certainly brought in business as she hosted a speed dating event at the pub. But things quickly took a turn for the worse after Glenda locked up the pub on her own.

In the middle of the night, the bubbly barmaid nipped downstairs after she heard some unusual noises in the bar. She was horrified to see two masked robbers stealing all the money from the till as well as several bottles of booze.

The star was horrified as one of them wielded a baseball bat in her face before they made off with the money. After watching the dramatic scenes hit the airwaves, viewers flooded to social media to share their suspicions for who is responsible for the raid.

One fan said: “#Corrie I sure it was that speed dating guy who robbed the pub, poor Glenda.” Another said: “That has Connor’s name written all over it #Corrie” as a third echoed: “Bet that was Connor and his mates, poor Glenda #Corrie.”

A fourth chimed in with: “So that’ll be Connor doing over the pub then.”, reports the Mirror. It comes after Jodie Prenger, who plays Glenda, opened up about how scary it was to film the terrifying scenes.

Speaking to Daily Star and other press, she confessed: “I genuinely I’m not kidding you, I genuinely was scared! I don’t want to give too much away… but, there was glass everywhere, there were bats involved, it was so well put together and formulated, very well done.

“It’s the worst feeling for anyone to go through to see somebody invading your home, your private space and something that you are there really to protect and look after,” she added. “The two fellas that did it, they were brilliant but brilliant for all the wrong reasons.

“They were scary and it was so atmospheric. Jason the director was brilliant and the way it was all shot was very dramatic.” Glenda is usually a cheerful person, but the star has warned that the attack will rattle her more than she first thought.

The actor went on: “Glenda won’t admit to [how she’s feeling]. It’s her saving face. It’s something that I hope raises truths with a lot of people that have gone through experiences like that and go, ‘Ah, we’ll be fine, I’m fine, oh no I’m completely fine’.

“And then she suffers a lot with her breathing, with anxiety. It is something that is very easy to push to the side, but it really does affect her. She feels like she’s completely let the team down.”
