Corrie ‘work out’ Shona’s real baby daddy in pregnancy twist – but it’s not Kit or David
Coronation Street’s Shona Platt’s actual baby daddy has been ‘unveiled’ by fans – and it’s neither David Platt nor Kit Green.
The soap darling, played by Julia Goulding, left viewers gobsmacked this week when it was disclosed that she had been unfaithful to her husband David, portrayed by Jack P. Shepherd, with Kit Green, played by Jacob Roberts.
Audiences will remember how David has been manipulating and deceiving Shona for the past month in an attempt to prevent her from seeing her son Clayton, played by Callum Harrison. The felon, who killed David’s ex-wife Kylie (Paula Lane) in 2016, contacted Shona from jail this year.
However, in ‘true’ soap opera style, Shona discovered the truth this week and was livid. A heated argument between the married pair followed, but Shona ended up being arrested for assaulting a prison governor earlier in the day, reports Lancs Live.
After being questioned by Kit, Shona was released and instead of returning home, she hit the town. In Friday’s episode (December 6), it was evident that Shona was concealing a major secret which turned out to be that she had slept with Kit.
Earlier, as David apologised for his actions, Shona decided to give their relationship another shot and insisted she wasn’t leaving him. However, things took a suspicious turn for David.
He later discovered the morning-after pill and accused her of sleeping with Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson), after learning that Shona had stayed at his place following her rendezvous with Kit.
Corrie enthusiasts are buzzing with predictions of a ‘who’s the daddy’ plot twist – and some reckon they’ve sussed out who the real father is. On a Coronation Street Facebook fan group, one sleuth speculated: “Watch Shona now be pregnant, and a who’s the daddy, long drawn out storyline.”
In the digital chatter, fans were quick to toss in their two pence on the paternity puzzle. One viewer ventured: “I think it could be Kit”. Another echoed: “Defo Kit.”
A sharp-eyed fan noted that Shona was supposed to have taken the morning-after pill, sparking another to suggest: “She could have lied about that? We didn’t actually see her take it did we..”
And there’s more some viewers are dead set on Adam being the baby daddy. One wrote: “There’s something we don’t know still about Shona and Adam I’m sure of it. I think she slept with him as well, or before.” Another chimed in: “I’d put my money on Adam as well tbh.”
