Corrie’s Dee-Dee uncovers something sinister as she lets herself into Joel’s flat
Corrie villain Joel Deering could be facing his downfall soon as his fiancee stumbles upon a shocking revelation at his flat.
Dee-Dee Bailey, played by Channique Sterling-Brown, is set to make an unexpected discovery at her fiance Joel Deering’s flat in next week’s instalment of the popular soap. Dee-Dee is currently engaged to Joel, unaware of his true identity.
The sinister solicitor has revealed his dark side in recent months, being exposed as the culprit behind Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) disappearance.
Since Lauren’s return to the cobbles, pregnant with Joel’s child, he has attempted to buy her silence by offering her accommodation in his old flat. He also proposed to fund her relocation to Ireland for a fresh start, revealing she was due to fly out on August 12 and he had three weeks to get everything in order.
In a disturbing turn of events, Joel gave Lauren drugs to induce early labour, resulting in the birth of their son. Meanwhile, Dee-Dee remains oblivious to her partner’s double life. However, this could all change in the coming week.
Spoilers indicate that Dee-Dee notices a notification on Joel’s laptop, requesting him to review his experience at Belfast Airport. When questioned about it, Joel claims it was a work trip that got cancelled.
Later, Dee-Dee gives Emily a fairy charm for Maeve’s bracelet, hinting that she might want her to be a flower girl at their wedding. Emily drops a bombshell when she reveals that Maeve doesn’t own a charm bracelet and cautions her about Joel, who is still paying rent for his old flat, leaving Dee-Dee puzzled.
Upon returning home and spotting Joel’s briefcase, Dee-Dee discovers a set of keys inside. She uses them to enter Joel’s flat and begins rummaging through the cupboards, convinced he’s cheating.
