Corrie’s Toyah actress in real life romance with co-star as love triangle kicks off
Coronation Street’s Toyah Battersby found herself in hot water when she hooked up with her sister’s fiancé Nick Tilsley, but in real life Georgia Taylor is a lot more settled
One Coronation Street icon struck up a real-life romance with her on-screen husband – who was killed off on the ITV soap.
Georgia Taylor has played Toyah Battersby since 1997, and now Toyah’s in hot water with a cult known as The Institute, who are out to get her after she tried to protect her sister Leanne from their cunning plot. Toyah’s also embarked on a steamy affair with Leanne’s fiancé Nick Tilsley – with a snog leaving them both reeling.
But in real life, Georgia is settled down with someone else entirely – Charlie De Melo, who played her on-screen husband Imran Habeeb until he was killed off in a car crash, caused by Toyah. The pair confirmed their romance in summer 2022, and since then Georgia has dropped a few details on her love life.
