Daisy seethes as Ryan turns down a night out with her in Coronation Street – to spend it with someone else

Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) has been cosily coupled up with Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) since they reconciled on Coronation Street earlier this year – but there’s trouble in paradise coming up for the couple.

Ryan went to Scotland to escape from the messy situation that had arisen after he fell in love with Daisy following their horrific experience in an acid attack. Their shared experience drew them to each other, but when Daisy’s then-fiancé Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) found out about their affair he was devastated.

Ryan tried to make things work in Glasgow, but before long he was heading back to Weatherfield again and was soon picking up his romance with Daisy.

Recently, Daisy acquired a house-mate at the Rovers. Following Glenda (Jodie Prenger) moving out, her room was offered to police officer Kit Green (Jacob Roberts).

Kit may be a copper, but we know he’s a bent one and not too worried about bending the rules when it suits him. Living at the Rovers is ideal for him, because it’s the heart of the local community and the ideal place to make sure he hears all the gossip.

Of course Kit has another claim on the community as well, as he actually has family living in the street. He’s the son of Bernie Winter and brother to Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Paul (Peter Ash), though he’s shown little interest in bonding with his family members, especially Bernie.

Kit, it seems, is mostly out for himself. And upon moving into the Rovers it looked like he was making a bee-line for Daisy as he flirted with her.

But in upcoming episodes it’s not Daisy who’s bedazzled by Kit. Ryan has already had his head turned by Kit’s impressive vinyl collection, much to Daisy’s annoyance. And when she has a night off and plans to spend it with her boyfriend, Daisy is furious to find that Ryan prefers to spend the time with Kit instead of her.

It seems that, one way or another, Kit may be set to drive a wedge between Daisy and Ryan…
