Dancing on Ice beauty ‘could land role on Corrie’ as she’s ‘perfect’ for ITV bosses

EXCLUSIVE: Dancing on Ice is almost over - but PR experts reckon one celebrity on the ITV show will be flooded with TV opportunities when their time is up on the programme

A Dancing on Ice star could be set for a stint on a huge soap after the ITV show comes to an end.

The glitzy dancing programme was back on screens last month – kicking off its sixteenth series. Holly Willoughby has returned to host, along with new presenter Stephen Mulhern.

And for this year’s line-up, the likes of former Corrie star Ryan Thomas, Adele Roberts and Eddie the Eagle have taken to the ice to show off their best moves. Judges Ashley Banjo, Oti Mabus, Jayne Torville, and Christopher Dean have all headed back as well – to share their thoughts on the celebs.

So far, in the competition, we’ve said goodbye to Ricky Hatton and Emmerdale beauty Roxy Shahidi. But one contestant that has been at the top of the leaderboard pretty much week after week is Amber Davies.

Amber Davies

The TV star shot to fame on Love Island back in 2017. Proving she’s more than just a reality star though, Amber has since bagged roles in musical shows like 9 to 5: The Musical and Pretty Woman.

Now, it’s been claimed Amber will be “presented with a few TV opportunities” after Dancing on Ice finishes. What’s more, it’s been said she is an “ideal candidate for any soap boss.”

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, Dom Aldworth, Head of Brand Marketing at Slingo, comments: “With a range of acting roles under her belt, Amber seems very serious about furthering her acting career.”

He added: “The increased publicity of Amber during her stint on Dancing on Ice paired with her ever-improving acting capabilities and impressive experience make her an ideal candidate for any soap boss.”

As for which soap, the expert then noted how because of her experience on two ITV shows “it seems most likely that she will join the cast of the iconic ITV soap Coronation Street. If pursuing that path.”

Corrie

Similarly, PR expert Rochelle White also reckons Amber could bag a huge soap role – or even turn her hand to a period drama. She told us: “Having a taste of TV could plant a seed for a regular acting role on a show.”

The expert then noted how in a bid to “attract a younger audience to the show” Amber could land a role on Coronation Street. Rochelle explained: “As we’ve seen past celebrities, actors and singers take up roles on the show.”

However, a soap role isn’t the only option Amber could take after Dancing on Ice ends. The PR expert revealed: “She could pop up on shows like Brassic to showcase that she can take on characterised roles.

“Or even surprise us all and do a period drama like Call the Midwife to showcase her acting skills and ability. I feel she will be presented with a few TV opportunities and only time will tell where we will see her,” Rochelle added.

Amber previously shut down rumours she’d landed a role on Corrie. She said: ” have NO IDEA where this has come from but it’s absolutely false! After DOI I will be back on tour with my wonderful @prettywomanmusicaluk family.”
