Eileen’s staggering discovery ahead of exit confirmed in Coronation Street spoiler video
Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) is left stunned in Coronation Street next week when she realises that Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) may have stolen her sister Julie Carp’s (Katy Cavanagh-Jupe) donation money.
As viewers of the ITV soap know, Julie returned earlier this year and was forced to confess that she is terminally ill.
Eileen was understandably devastated by the revelation and has become determined to make her final months memorable.
This will ultimately lead to her decision to leave Weatherfield after 25 years, with Sue Cleaver deciding to quit the role.
In order to raise some funds to support Julie, a cash collection box has been placed in Underworld.
Unfortunately, as a new Corrie spoiler video shows, the cash doesn’t stay put for long.
The Underworld staff gather around the kitchen area to try and work out who may have conducted such a despicable act, with Kirk Sutherland (Andrew Whyment) suggesting that the culprit could be a delivery driver that visited earlier that day.
Sean looks suspiciously sheepish as the residents set about trying to track it down.
Once alone, Eileen suggests calling the police, but partner George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) suddenly recalls an earlier conversation with his sister Glenda (Jodie Prenger).
Sean had confronted her and asked to borrow £500, and he could be the one who was forced to take from Julie’s fund.
Is Sean responsible?
Inside, he began to befriend another youngster, Brody (Ryan Mulvey). Whilst initially looking out for his new pal, Brody soon began to exploit his naivety.
He set about manipulating both Dylan and his father, asking Sean to smuggle a burner phone into the building and making it clear that Dylan would be harmed if he didn’t comply.
Later, Brody called Sean and told him he had another job – hence why Glenda was asked for a loan.
Has he had to turn to desperate measures?
