Coronation Street’s Cait Fitton has paid tribute to her close friend and co-star Paddy Bever on his birthday.
The actress plays Lauren Bolton in the show, who was revealed as Joel Deering’s (Calum Lill) killer a few weeks ago. Paddy portrays David Platt’s (Jack P Shepherd) son Max Turner, who is also Lauren’s boyfriend.
Paddy and Cait have worked together since 2022, when Lauren was introduced as a member of the far-right gang Max had become embroiled in.
The two Corrie stars are the best of friends and often share updates about each other on their socials. Recently, Cait took to her Instagram Stories to post a variety of snaps of Paddy in celebration of his birthday.
The collage of pictures feature Paddy and Cait in photoshoots, behind the scenes at Corrie, and selfies of them making memories away from the show.
‘Happy birthday to my Paddy Bever’, Cait wrote alongside.
‘I love you’, she added.
In the ITV soap, Lauren came clean about her actions to Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) after Max took the blame for Joel’s murder, and it became clear that he wasn’t going to get away with a plea of self-defence.
When David caught wind of Lauren’s confession and was given the evidence to prove it, he took it straight to the police, and Lauren has been in custody ever since.
On Monday, Lauren appeared before the admissions board for the prison’s mother and baby unit, determined to fight to have Frankie by her side.
As she appeared before the board, she emotionally appealed to them, insisting that it would be better for both her and Frankie if he was with her, as she was all he knew.
Feeling as though she wasn’t being listened to, Lauren ended up snapping at the board, before apologising for her outburst.
