Coronation Street fans are convinced that an affair could start on the cobbles as two exes connect over a villain.
Soap fans will recall that Kit Green made an appearance earlier this year as Bernie Winter’s long-lost son. However, Bernie soon learnt the hard way that she had been set up by her long-lost son, weeks on from them reuniting after decades apart. Kit couldn’t forgive his biological mum for abandoning him and not making contact when he was younger with him attempting to turn her other two children, Gemma Winter and Paul Foreman, against her.
Meanwhile, earlier this year, police officer Kit planted a then missing Lauren Bolton’s DNA to frame Nathan Curtis, who was arrested, with real culprit Joel Deering then still at large. While in recent scenes, Kit got into secret cahoots with criminal Sid and his dodgy counterfeit T-shirt business, warning he wont say a word as long as he gets half the cut of profits.
However, Beth Tinker, whose son Craig works with Kit in the police, recently caught out Kit, spotting him working with Sid who was selling counterfeit T-shirts that Beth had designed. Beth accused Kit of being a bent copper, claiming to have rumbled he wasn’t the good guy he’d claimed to be. With Kit’s career possibly at risk, on Wednesday night he blackmailed Beth and threatened her to leave the cobbles for good.

Yet it’s not just Beth suspicious as Daisy Midgeley has been left wary after Kit temporarily moved into the Rovers Return Inn before moving to Redbank, which Jenny Connor pointed out must be the flat that Daisy and her ex Daniel Osbourne were going to buy. Meanwhile, Daisy’s ex Daniel also told her that he doesn’t trust Kit and something doesn’t sit right about Nathan’s conviction.
Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers were delighted over the exes together again and hoped it could mean a reunion for the duo in upcoming episodes. One person said: “I like Daisy & Daniel together”, a different account put: “I want to see Daisy and Daniel together again” while another wrote: “Now break up Ryan and Daisy and put her back with daniel and him back with Bethany thank you #corrie.”
Elsewhere, one person said: “daisy rejecting ryan’s suggestion to make things more serious eeeeeep the end is coming i am so excited for more daisy daniel buildup #corrie”, a different account put: “Please can Daisy and Daniel reunite. Splitting them up was stupid!! #Corrie”, another wrote: “So ready to get Daisy and Daniel back #corrie” while a different account put: “daisy and daniel get back together challenge x #corrie.”
It comes as Kit will find himself exposed on next week’s Coronation Street as DS Lisa Swain quizzes Kit about the evidence planted on Nathan.
