Coronation Street have seemingly confirmed who killed Lauren Bolton – as they dropped a huge clue.

Tonight, fans started to see what lengths Sarah Platt was willing to go to to get her daughter’s abuser Nathan Curtis behind bars. She decided she needed to do what she could to prove Nathan was behind Lauren’s disappearance and potential death.

Lauren went missing earlier this year, with Roy Cropper hauled in by the police and wrongly accused of her disappearance and murder. However, we know he is innocent and someone else is to blame for what happened to her.

Sarah decided she needed to frame Nathan for Lauren’s disappearance and she tried to plant a hair tie with Lauren’s DNA on it in the back of Nathan’s van. However, she was caught trying to frame Nathan by police officer Kit. He hauled her into the police car and warned her she wasn’t helping the case by trying to frame Nathan.

However, later, Bethany and Sarah got the news that Nathan had been arrested and forensics were looking at his van, leading them to be convinced he had been arrested for Lauren’s murder. Could Kit have something to do with Nathan’s sudden arrest, and could his motives be less than genuine? Could he be the one that abducted or killed Lauren?

Jacob Roberts – who plays Kit – said of joining the show: “It’s absolutely amazing to be joining the cast of Coronation Street. When I walked on set for the first time it felt a bit overwhelming because the attention to detail is just incredible, it actually makes you feel that you are on a real street. My mum and dad are really chuffed too which is lovely.

“My mum has always watched Coronation Street, I’ve always kept up to date with it too, so it just feels surreal to be here. Meeting all of the cast and crew was great, I really do feel at home here. I’m looking forward to everyone meeting Kit but I do think he is going to be a very misunderstood character at first. He’s been really hurt throughout his life and although he has a good heart, he has some deep rooted resentment with his biological mum, Bernie, which will be really interesting to play out.”
