ITV Coronation Street fans rumble who Lauren’s mystery boyfriend is – and they’re already on the Cobbles
Coronation Street fans are sure they've rumbled who Lauren's mystery man is and they're already a big character on the Cobbles
Coronation Street fans are convinced they’ve worked out who Lauren’s mystery man is.
Lauren has been seen on several phone calls with a mystery man since her return to the village, with it being teased that she has a boyfriend away from the Cobbles. However, fans are convinced they’ve rumbled who he really is.
Tonight, a mystery man appeared at Lauren’s door to surprise her on Valentine’s Day, just as she and Bobby seemed to have hit it off. But who is he and why is he keeping himself so under the radar?
Fans are now convinced they’ve rumbled who he is and his connection to the Cobbles.
One wrote: “I guess he’s in prison but what if Lauren’s mystery man is Rob and that’s why Bobby is involved?! #corrie.” However others have refuted this theory, with one sharing: “I wonder who this mysterious ex of Lauren’s is #Corrie,” as a second added: “So who was at Lauren’s door? #Corrie,” whilst a third shared: “Who is Lauren’s mystery boyfriend?! Tommy O?! Surely it’s a big character #corrie.”
Another wrote: “Is Lauren’s secret love Tommy Orpington she’s got a Weatherfield county jacket on is there a link? #CoronationStreet,” whilst one shared: “Oh hurry up and show us who Lauren’s older bloke is? #Corrie,” and another penned in response: “One of her ‘clients’?” and another guessed: “Maybe the footballer.”
Speaking about her character, Cait Fitton – who plays Lauren – shared: “At the start when I came in I wasn’t sure I liked her, but the more I’ve learned about her and why she is the way she is, the more I really care for her.”You never know how she’s going to react, I think you love to hate her. There are things that she’s done and will continue to do that I don’t really agree with but they make her her and I don’t want to be a character that everyone likes, I want to be a character that people are intrigued by. I want her to be loved but also hated at the same time.”
She added: “There’s so much more of a journey for this character to go on. So I love that people don’t like her sometimes, because half the time I don’t really like her, yet at the same time I’ve got all this feeling underneath that explains why she is the way she is.”
