ITV Coronation Street spoilers for next week see Max prison twist, Rob mystery and health update
Coronation Street fans can expect a rollercoaster of emotions next week.
In the forthcoming episodes, Max Turner’s departure plot will be unveiled as he seems to face his downfall in the aftermath of the fire. In another twist, it looks like one character might meet their end during a dramatic confrontation.
Additionally, a beloved Weatherfield icon is set for a hospital operation following heartbreaking health revelations. Here are the major storylines to look forward to next week…
Max Turner’s downfall
On Monday evening, it was disclosed that Max Turner was the actual perpetrator behind the catastrophic blaze at David and Shona Platt’s residence, reports Lancs Live.
The fire, which affected numerous Weatherfield locals, resulted in Max and Toyah Battersby being rushed to the hospital. Fortunately, both made a complete recovery, but it was soon discovered that the fire was a deliberate act of arson, leading to the arrest of David and Leanne Battersby despite their vehement denials.
The truth finally came to light on Monday night, courtesy of Kevin Webster’s garage CCTV. Upon reviewing the footage, Shona recognised Max’s hoodie, a Christmas gift from a niche skate shop.
The episode concluded with the police conducting forensic tests on the aforementioned hoodie after discovering it in a bin and tracing it back to the shop where it was bought.
It seems things are set to take a turn for the worse for Max, as upcoming spoilers reveal David and Shona visiting him in prison. They inform him of their application to have him transferred to a Scottish prison for his safety.
However, Max remains sceptical about his safety prospects. With actor Paddy Bever, who plays Max, due to exit the soap soon, could this be his departure storyline?
‘Death’ twist
In a shocking twist, DS Lisa Swain uncovers an illicit affair between Carla Connor’s brother, Rob Donovan, and prison guard Mandy on Monday night’s episode. The pair are plotting his escape while he waits in hospital to donate a kidney to Carla.
Lisa convinces Rob to go ahead with the operation, vowing to try and overturn his conviction. However, next week’s spoilers hint at danger for Carla and Lisa, also known as ‘Swarla’, as Rob is prepared to do whatever it takes to avoid prison, no matter who gets hurt in the process.
As both Carla and Rob recover from the kidney donation surgery, the tension escalates when Rob attacks a male security guard, steals his uniform, and kidnaps Carla during his hospital escape.
Lisa is hot on their heels, but has she underestimated how far Rob will go? Later, it’s revealed that Rob lies motionless at the bottom of an office block stairwell. What has happened to Rob and who is responsible?
As the week unfolds, Kit Green embarks on a quest to uncover the truth about Rob’s fate. Is Rob still alive or has he met his end? And can Kit unravel the truth about what transpired? Later in the week, Lisa finds herself under interrogation over Rob’s fate…
