Meanwhile on the cobbles, Coronation Street’s vile bully Mason Radcliffe could find his downfall sealed next week. Here’s the biggest moments happening on the soap next week…
Legend’s exit ‘revealed’ amid missing Lauren Bolton update
Coronation Street viewers could be saying goodbye to one fan favourite character on the hit ITV soap next week. Soap fans will recall that troubled youngster Lauren Bolton abruptly left the cobbles earlier this year and love interest Bobby has been left concerned after he found her flat unlocked with Lauren nowhere to be seen.
Soap fans never saw Lauren, who had a mysterious boyfriend prior to her exit, leave and it seems she told no one close to her of her plan to leave Weatherfield aside from Roy Cropper.

Bobby reported Lauren as missing to the police and Roy has found himself under suspicion due to his kind nature, especially after he was caught innocently cleaning Lauren’s flat, which some people thought proved he was guilty and he was recently wrongly arrested on suspicion of murdering his former employee.
As Lauren’s disappearance grips the cobbles’ residents and soap viewers, the ITV soap will be offering more updates next week. In upcoming episodes, Bernie Winter is horrified to see that someone has posted Lauren’s mum’s contact details online and against his friends’ better judgement, Roy calls Lauren’s mum, Kerry, and leaves a message offering his sympathy.
However, next week, Kerry arrives in Weatherfield to speak with Roy, or so he thinks, as there’s a shocking discovery about the woman in question’s true identity as she is actually a woman named Alice. In the upcoming episodes, Roy finds himself being cruelly trolled online and over the phone at the café as he retreats upstairs.
Later in the week, Nina makes it clear to Evelyn and Shona that despite all the abusive and prank calls, they must still answer the phone as Roy is hoping for a call from Lauren’s mother. After reading through comments online, Stu tells Yasmeen and Alya that he intends to help Roy clear his name as he knows what it’s like to be wrongly accused after his past prison ordeal.
However, after trying to help and talking to a homeless person at the precinct in the hope of getting information about Lauren, Stu pulls out his wallet, failing to notice the guy picking up a brick as he returns to Speed Daal with a bloodied face.

Meanwhile, Roy reels in shock as Evelyn reveals that his late partner Hayley’s son, Christian, has posted some hurtful things about him and Hayley online. Later, Lauren’s mum, Kerry, calls at the café and introduces herself to a stunned Roy and Nina. Just a day later though, it’s revealed there’s more to the scenes than what has been revealed. Roy is left shaken when Kerry calls him and begs him to leave her alone and to never contact her again.
The woman on the phone is not the character claiming to be Kerry who has visited Roy, the same woman who is in the café when this conversation happens. Shaken, he speeds back to alert Nina and Shona what he has uncovered.
Fake Kerry AKA Alice is soon exposed, with her in the café in this moment. She’s forced to admit her true identity and her true intentions for Roy, which become apparent soon after as she starts filming them all and making notes of everything she witnesses.
Later, as Roy and Evelyn head out, they come face-to-face with Alice as she starts filming them. A desperate Roy tries to stop her but things go from bad to worse when Alice stumbles, banging her head in the process. Alice quickly accuses Roy of assault and hurries away.
Things take a shocking turn later when Dee-Dee returns to the café and breaks the news to Roy’s loved ones Carla, Nina, Shona and Evelyn that he has been charged with the murder of Lauren. The ITV soap then shows Roy sitting alone in his police cell completely numb with fear. Is this an exit for Roy or will he be cleared in time?
Character sentenced to six years in prison as actor quits ITV soap
Coronation Street residents learn a character will face six years in prison after being sentenced next week on the ITV soap. Sarah Platt will receive shocking news about her lover Damon Hay, weeks on from his abrupt exit from the show. Damon was arrested by armed police recently, before Sarah visited him in prison.
While she was there he cruelly dumped her and told her they were over, with him facing a stint behind bars. It was revealed after the episode that these were Damon’s final scenes on the show, with actor Ciaran Griffiths quitting his Weatherfield role.
Now, new spoilers confirm the future for Damon, as he is sentenced offscreen. Sarah is told that Damon will face six years behind bars in an episode next week, leaving her breaking down in tears. She seeks comfort in her ex Gary Windass amid his own troubles with partner Maria Connor. Sarah reveals Damon’s fate to Gary after finding out from his lawyer Dee-Dee Bailey.

It seems this is the end for Damon, for now, while it’s also thought to be the end of his brother Harvey Gaskell’s latest stint on the show, after Will Mellor reprised the role recently. During a recent episode of the ITV soap, Damon asked Sarah to visit him in prison and decided he needed to end it with her.
As they sat together, he told her: “I don’t want you to do that because I asked you here to tell you to your face, we’re finished. I’m doing you a massive favour. You turned my world upside down but if I loved you, properly loved you, I wouldn’t have done the stuff I’ve done. You’ve got to walk away. I’m sorry, it’s my decision. Goodbye Sarah.”
Whilst it seems that’s not really true, and he is in fact still very much in love with her, he knew that the only way to protect her was for him to end up in jail and for him to cut ties with her for good to keep her and her family safe. Damon’s time on the show has come to a natural end, but the door has been left open for the character to return one day.
His most recent stint marks his second time on the show after he returned recently to get his revenge on Adam Barlow and win Sarah back. Ciaran has seemingly teased a potential return again one day, as the writers have brought him back twice already.
Vile bully Mason’s downfall ‘sealed’ amid new court dilemma
Coronation Street’s vile bully Mason Radcliffe could find his downfall sealed next week. Only recently on the ITV soap, Dylan Wilson and schoolmate Mason bullied Maria Connor’s son Liam in harrowing scenes with the youngster even contemplating ending his own life. Things took an even more disturbing turn recently when it was revealed to a shocked Gary and Maria that Mason had even threatened Liam with a knife.
After the shock bombshell, Gary and Maria took Liam to the police station, where he reported the incident. Later, the police called at Sean’s home, saying they had reason to believe Dylan was hiding a zombie knife that was used in an assault but the knife couldn’t be found.
Dylan, who had been hiding the knife for Mason, lied pretending he knew nothing about it and later Mason ordered Dylan to get the knife and meet up with him. However, it was another one of Mason’s evil tactics as when a nervous Dylan waited, PC Craig Tinker approached, finding the knife in his bag and arresting him on the spot. Since then, Dylan pleaded guilty to carrying a knife in a public place and he was handed a community service order.
Meanwhile, the police confirmed to a delighted Maria and Gary that Mason had been charged with threatening with a bladed article in a public place, and he now faces a custodial sentence. In upcoming scenes, Liam and Dylan get ready for court as they face a dilemma.
While Gary and Maria do their best to boost Liam’s confidence, Violet is left concerned to find Dylan missing after he scuttles out of the hotel. In the Bistro, a nervous Liam picks at his breakfast when Sean and Violet hurry in to reveal that Dylan has gone missing.
As Gary offers to help find Dylan, Liam heads home and unbeknown to him, someone watches from across the street. However, the mystery person is Dylan as he drags Liam into the ginnel and after telling him about Mason’s threats, suggests they do a runner to avoid going to court.
Later, having discovered Liam has disappeared, Gary and Maria tell Sean and Violet that Liam’s gone missing too. Will the two schoolboys show up to court? While it remains to be seen what happens it appears that Mason might get his downfall as later in the week, the ITV soap offers updates on Dylan and Liam.
