ITV Coronation Street star announces shock exit despite huge storyline
A Coronation Street star has bowed out of the ITV soap – but vowed he could return.
Actor Harry Lowbridge has bid farewell to his character Logan Radcliffe. Logan arrived on the Cobbles a few months back as the older brother of Mason Radcliffe. Bad boy Mason had been bullying Dylan and Liam but vowed he had changed following his time away.
However, we quickly learned more about Mason’s background and why he was the way he was. His brothers had a violent streak in them and in shocking scenes at the start of this year, they killed their own brother.
Logan is also central to the fire at the Platts house, with David Platt convinced he is the one that set the fire – which nearly killed both Max and Toyah. However, Logan insisted he didn’t do it and even worse for David, he seems to have an alibi.
Taking to social media, Harry – who plays Logan – shared a snap of his character crouching behind the chair at the undertakers, where his brother has been since he passed away. Alongside the snap, he wrote: “That’s farewell to Logan… for now.”

Later in the show, police officer Kit Green revealed that Logan had said he was the one who stabbed Mason and killed him but denied he had anything to do with the fire and said he had an alibi, which was checked.
Fans of the show rushed to social media to comment on Logan’s surprise exit.
“You were brilliant,” one wrote, whilst a second added: “You’re brilliant!! Such a good baddie.” A third penned: “Great work, he will be back,” and a fourth added: “It was so lovely too meet you last year all the best and good luck with your new chapter.”
With Logan now out of the frame for the fire, that just means that a few names are potentially left to take the blame for the arson attack on the Platts home. David has been arrested, whilst Abi is still under suspicion, as is Leanne.
The star is at the centre of the big Platt fire storyline
Who started the fire – or is someone else to blame for what happened to the Platts home? With Logan gone, David’s biggest suspect is also gone – but is his accusations of Logan to cover for his own act?
Whilst David didn’t cause the fire, he had been working with his former prison inmate Andy. He had been driving getaway cars in a bid to raise the funds to pay back villain Harvey Gaskell – but when Kit tried to confirm David’s alibi, Andy denied he say him.
