ITV Coronation Street work out real identity of Daisy’s baby’s father in surprise twist

Coronation Street fans have rumbled who the father of Daisy Midgeley’s baby is.

Daisy recently found out she was expecting her first child but having slept with both her current partner Kit Green and her ex Daniel Osbourne, she wasn’t sure who the father of her baby is. In a shock admission to the whole pub, and angry about Bethany and Daniel’s wedding date, Daisy decided to hijack the pub quiz and reveal she didn’t know who the father was of her baby.

In shock scenes, Daisy was then rushed to hospital after suffering pain, where both Kit and Daniel came to her aid. She decided to undergo a DNA test to find out who the father of her baby was once and for all.

This evening, Daisy decided to keep the father of her baby a secret, and now fans are convinced they know who the dad really is. One wrote: “It’s obvious that Daniel is the dad but Daisy is too angry at him right now. She wanted to hurt him at the quiz and she’s going to hold it back for now but will eventually end up telling someone the truth #Corrie,” whilst a second gave their thoughts, sharing: “The father of Daisy’s baby is neither Daniel nor Kit #corrie.” “It is daniel’s, she’s just angry at him,” a third shared.

It was recently announced that Daisy actress Charlotte Jordan would be departing the soap.

“My time at Coronation Street is something I’ll always cherish. After a brilliant four years for Daisy, it’s time for me to start a new chapter and explore other opportunities,” she said of her decision to leave.

A source added: “Charlotte has loved her time on the cobbles but is young, ambitious and hungry to see what else is out there for her. She told bosses last April that her next contract would be her last, giving them a year to craft an exciting exit storyline. She’s still filming now and her final scenes will play out in early summer. She’s adored by cast and crew and will be hugely missed.”

It’s been revealed to The Mirror that Daisy’s mother Christina – played by Amy Robbins – will return for the big exit storyline.

“Christina’s return certainly causes drama and she’s going to be ruffling some feathers throughout her time on the Cobbles. It’s a brilliant storyline for Christina and Daisy in what will be some of Charlotte’s final months on screen,” the source said.

“It’ll be sad to say Daisy leave the show, but we’ve got a few months of Christina causing all kinds of chaos before then. The cast are thrilled to welcome Amy back to the show in what will no doubt be a big storyline for the pair.”
