Coronation Street enthusiasts are convinced they’ve figured out who Abi Webster will have an affair with, betraying Kevin.
Abi, portrayed by Sally Carman, has been a regular fixture on the famous cobbles since 2017 and has been involved in numerous major plotlines.
Her struggles with substance abuse and the tragic loss of her son Seb Franklin, played by Harry Visinoni, in 2021 mean that Abi’s stint in Weatherfield has been anything but dull.
Currently, she’s dealing with the aftermath of Mason Radcliffe’s (Luca Toolan) stabbing and subsequent death earlier this month, which has sent her into a downward spiral. Viewers will remember the harrowing scene where Abi discovered a bleeding Mason fighting for his life.

Despite her best efforts to save him, he later passed away, triggering painful memories of Seb’s murder. Since Mason’s death, worries about Abi’s wellbeing have been mounting, reports Lancs Live.
This week saw her hallucinating Seb while seeking comfort in his memorial garden on the street. To add to her troubles, her husband Kevin, played by Michael Le Vell, has been diagnosed with cancer.
In Friday’s episode (January 17), Kevin finally confided in Abi, leaving her stunned. However, it appears the soap may be gearing up to broadcast a shocking infidelity twist involving Abi. Earlier this year, Corrie’s new boss Kate Brooks hinted at an unexpected affair on the cobbles.

Kate Oates teased: “She loves Kevin and he loves her, but temptation comes Abi’s way, let’s put it that way.”
It seems viewers have a hunch who the home-wrecker might be – Kit Green, played by Jacob Roberts. After causing a stir with his affair with Shona Platt (Julia Goulding), fans on a Corrie Facebook group are buzzing with speculation.
A fan wrote: “Abbie affair looming then which is a shame because I liked them.” Another put two and two together saying: “Probably with Kit!” A third expressed their dismay: “Yup, he’s a dirty dog! Poor Kevin.”
