Coronation Street’s Daisy Midgeley and Jenny Connor will be rumbled next week as their Rovers Return Inn secret is exposed.

Last year the duo decided to put an offer in on the boozer, which had been closed for weeks, using stolen money. Viewers will recall that Daisy successfully accessed Jenny’s late ex-boyfriend Stephen Reid’s accounts, where he had stole from Carla Connor’s factory accounts.

Jenny was initially against Daisy’s idea to use the money to buy the Rovers but soon had a change of heart after a fiery showdown with Carla on the cobbles, where she also learnt the factory was back on track. Jenny agreed to Daisy’s plan but insisted they would eventually pay back an unaware Carla.

As part of the plan, Daisy said although publicly the pub would be Jenny’s, privately they would be equals as she wanted her name on the lease as a co-owner. Last year, the duo learnt that their bid had been accepted with the Rovers officially theirs and they reopened in time for New Year’s Eve.

However, while they’ve managed to keep their criminal business venture a secret so far, the duo will be rumbled next week after Daisy makes a slew of mistakes. In upcoming scenes, love rival Bethany Platt is left suspicious as she spots Daisy with a load of shopping bags.

Bethany suggests she must have spent a fortune to which Daisy snaps that it is all from charity shops in Alderley Edge. Later, Bethany is further suspicious when she overhears Jenny tearing a strip off Daisy for spending so much money and they have to keep a low profile. Things go from bad to worse for Daisy when Bethany learns from taxi driver Tim Metcalfe that he picked up Daisy from the centre of Manchester and not Alderley Edge.

Later in the week, Bethany insists to Daniel that she is going to resolve her differences with his ex Daisy and reveals she’s going to call round to help with preparing dinner that night. In the Rovers, Bethany persuades a reluctant Daisy to let her help with the cooking and whilst Daisy’s distracted, Bethany turns the oven up on the apple pie.

Having discovered the apple pie burnt to a crisp, Daisy heads out to buy a replacement leaving Bethany and Ryan to prepare the evening meal. When Jenny calls Ryan through to the bar, Bethany seizes the opportunity to rifle through drawers, stuffs something in her handbag and hurries out.

Heading to the Rovers, a stressed Jenny tells Daisy they need to find a way to pay the money back to Carla without her finding out but Daisy is reluctant, claiming they should just keep quiet. Later, with the karaoke night in full flow, Sally admires Daisy’s new designer bag.

Jenny is furious as she scolds Daisy for flaunting her wealth but fails to realise she can be overheard on the karaoke microphone. It’s not long until Ryan steps in to defuse the situation but a suspicious Carla spots the tension. Later, Carla finds a visibly upset Jenny in Victoria Garden and when Carla quizzes her about Bethany’s suspicions over Stephen’s money, Jenny comes clean and admits that they took it but had every intention of paying it back. What will Carla do with the bombshell?

Over at the builder’s yard flat, Bethany takes out Stephen’s journal from her bag and flicks through it, intrigued. Will she rumble the truth about the Rovers? Later in the week, things go from bad to worse when Carla makes a dig about Bethany’s accusations, leaving Jenny panicking.
