ITV Coronation Street’s Kit Green rumbled by DS Lisa Swain as his past catches up with him
Kit Green will find himself exposed on next week’s Coronation Street.
Soap fans will recall that Kit made an appearance earlier this year as Bernie Winter’s long-lost son. However, Bernie soon learnt the hard way that she had been set up by her long-lost son, weeks on from them reuniting after decades apart. Kit couldn’t forgive his biological mum for abandoning him and not making contact when he was younger with him attempting to turn her other two children, Gemma Winter and Paul Foreman, against her.
Meanwhile, earlier this year, police officer Kit planted a then missing Lauren Bolton’s DNA to frame Nathan Curtis, who was arrested, with real culprit Joel Deering then still at large. While in recent scenes, Kit got into secret cahoots with criminal Sid and his dodgy counterfeit T-shirt business, warning he wont say a word as long as he gets half the cut of profits.
However, Beth Tinker, whose son Craig works with Kit in the police, recently caught out Kit, spotting him working with Sid who was selling counterfeit T-shirts that Beth had designed. Beth accused Kit of being a bent copper, claiming to have rumbled he wasn’t the good guy he’d claimed to be. With Kit’s career possibly at risk, it seems in upcoming episodes he will blackmail Beth and threaten her to leave the cobbles for good.

In spoilers next week, it appears someone else rumbles Kit as it teases that DS Lisa Swain quizzes Kit about the evidence planted on Nathan. How will Kit react and does DS Swain have any more information? Meanwhile, earlier this week, the ITV soap may have revealed Kit’s twisted plan for Craig.
The newcomer was seen sharing concerns over a cover-up that he thought might impact his police career if the truth came out. As Craig encouraged him to open up and told him he was a good detective, Kit commented that what he’d done was serious and that he shouldn’t be in the force.
Craig hit back at this claim saying he was what the force needed, before suggesting he too had covered up something serious in the past. While he didn’t appear to say specifically what it was, it seems he told Kit or was about to tell Kit how he covered up the truth about the death of a man named Ted.
Viewers will recall Craig covered up the fact his ex Faye Windass accidentally caused Ted’s death a few years ago, with Craig concealing this to protect her. On Monday night, Craig alluded to the fact he covered up a serious crime to protect a loved one, believing Kit had done the same. As Kit spoke with Craig in the latest episode, fans feared he was using Craig to find out something he could use against him and Beth.
