ITV Coronation Street’s Lauren Bolton ‘not really dead’ as spot ‘obvious’ clue
Coronation Street viewers have claimed it's 'obvious' that Lauren Bolton is still alive despite her disappearance becoming a murder inquiry on the ITV soap
Coronation Street viewers are convinced Lauren Bolton isn’t really dead, after police claimed she had been murdered in a recent episode.
The teen, played by actress Cait Fitton, vanished from Weatherfield last month. No one has seen her or heard from her since, and a recent gruesome discovery at her flat left police convinced she had been killed.
On Friday, DS Swain confirmed a likely murder weapon had been located, after blood and human tissue was found on an item from the flat. Swain claimed to murder suspect Roy Cropper that given the evidence found, she had likely been hit over the head as the blood splatter and tissue found was consistent with blunt head trauma.
The blood traces were found on the curtains, but also a broken chair leg possibly used in an attack. It’s not been confirmed if the blood has been tested and if it’s Lauren’s or someone else’s.
But amid Lauren appearing to have been killed, fans are sure there’s a twist ahead. Viewers think the character is still alive and will return, despite the police treating her vanishing act as a murder inquiry.
Taking to X, fans said it was “obvious” that she was alive, with some even suggesting there was a clue to her fate in that the disappearance “seems staged”. One fan posted: “I’m not convinced Lauren is dead! They don’t know she is; someone might be holding her somewhere.”
Another agreed: “Lauren’s obviously not actually dead right? Seems way too staged.” A third added: “Lauren is not dead,” as a fourth fan commented: “it’s pretty obvious that Lauren isn’t even dead.”
While no body has been found, they are convinced they have now solved her fate. Roy has been under suspicion by officers, but fans think the blood found could actually belong to someone other than Lauren.
They are wondering if Lauren got into a fight with someone and maybe someone else was attacked, causing her to flee. It could be someone linked to the far-right gang she was exposing in her article with Bethany Platt.
Perhaps it was the mystery boyfriend that had been hassling her and even violent towards her. According to fans, suspects for the latter include Bobby Crawford, Joel Deering, Nathan Curtis or Rob Donovan, or maybe even Tommy Orpington.
