Jenny pulled into cruel catfish in Coronation Street – and it’s someone close
Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) and Daisy Midgeley’s (Charlotte Jordan) relationship has become incredibly fractured in Coronation Street, and it appears things are only going to get worse.
Lying to Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) about him being the father of Daisy’s baby seemed like a good idea at the start, but a car crash changed the perspective entirely.
Just as Daniel learnt the truth, Daisy panicked and rushed out of the pub. She ended up walking in front of a speeding car, which was being driven by David’s (Jack P Shepherd) mate Andy as part of their dodgy plan.
David shoved Daisy out of the way and afterwards, they were rushed to hospital. There, Daisy was informed she had lost her baby.
A broken Daisy told Jenny that if they hadn’t lied to Daniel, she would’ve never ran out of the pub, got hit by the car, and suffered a miscarriage. As far as she was concerned, it was all her fault.
Upcoming episodes will see the difficult dynamic between Daisy and Jenny continue. After deciding her step-mum has gone too far, Daisy feigns surprise when her biological mother Christina (Amy Robbins) walks through the door.
As Christina makes her presence felt at the Rovers, Daisy tells Jenny that she’s not sure she can ever forgive her for everything that’s happened.
In the week, Jenny finds some positivity through a dating app. She reveals that she’s met a great guy called Dom, but doesn’t know Daisy and Christina are behind the account.
Ouch.
The mother and daughter then up the ante with a bouquet of flowers and another message from ‘Dom’.
While Daisy relishes in the plan, she can’t help but wonder that Jenny will want to meet Dom in the flesh soon, which will create a problem.
It’s a harsh idea, will Jenny discover the truth before Daisy leaves Weatherfield?
