Leanne Battersby’s ruthless revenge plot will destroy a Coronation Street legend – and it’s not Nick Tilsley

Leanne Battersby’s (Jane Danson) ruthless revenge plot is well and truly underway in Coronation Street, and it could be set to destroy a show legend.

Leanne was left completely devastated when she discovered that fiancé Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) had cheated on her with her sister, Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) earlier this year.

To make matters worse, Nick and Toyah have now decided to give a proper relationship a go and are waiting for the right time to tell Leanne.

Unfortunately for them, Leanne is already aware, having caught them together at the Chariot Square Hotel.

However, she is keeping the knowledge under her hat as part of her elaborate revenge scheme, which has so far been coming together nicely.

Up to now, Leanne has been trying her best to seduce Nick, by coming onto him and suggesting that they give things another go.

Wanting to keep his relationship with Toyah a secret, Nick promised to think about it. However, Leanne was quick to brag about it to Toyah, who was less than impressed.

In tonight’s episode, Leanne invited Nick to Les’ will reading, where he comforted her as she struggled with her grief.

When Nick joined her outside for some air, it was clear that Toyah was put out, and she later confronted him about it.

It seemed that Leanne’s plan to come between them was working well when Toyah questioned if Nick believed he’d chosen the right sister.

Nick assured her that he had, and even invited her to join him on holiday.

With the air cleared and Toyah looking forward to some winter sun, she asked Leanne if she could take some time off work, and Leanne was quick to point out that they were the same dates as Nick’s holiday.

Having approved Toyah’s absence, Leanne got stuck in to the next part of her plan, as she logged into the fake bank account she’d made in Toyah’s name after stealing her passport.

With Leanne having deposited a large sum of money from the Bistro account into Toyah’s fake one, could she be setting her sister up for a serious crime?
