Two more characters are set to wave goodbye to the cobbles of Coronation Street after major developments.

Recent scenes saw Eliza Woodrow (Savannah Kunyo) practicing her German, in the hopes of being able to move to Hamburg with dad Dom.

Despite Stu Carpenter (Bill Fellows) having previously paid Dom £10k to stay away from Eliza, he was clearly able to see how much she wanted to live with him, and summoned Dom to Speed Daal for a chat.

There, he admitted that he had been selfish in refusing to let Eliza live with her dad, and revealed that he was prepared to let her have a two week trial of living in Hamburg during the Easter holidays.

Dom agreed, and soon they were passing on the good news to thrilled Eliza, revealing that Stu was willing to pay for her to attend an international school if she decided to move permanently.

Elsewhere, Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) was delighted when daughter Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) asked him to join her for a movie night.

However, he was soon put out when he realised it was because she had spent the previous day getting to know Tracy Barlow’s (Kate Ford) new boyfriend Tommy Orpington (Matt Milburn).

Former professional footballer Tommy was once Steve’s idol, but he has gone significantly down in his estimations since stealing his wife.

As Steve and Amy waited to pick up their take away, Steve explained that he didn’t mind her getting to know Tommy, as he wouldn’t be around for much longer.

He warned Amy to keep the news on the down low as it wasn’t yet public knowledge, before telling her that Tommy was set to move to Spain to take on a job as a football coach.

Will Eliza and Tommy’s plans work out and lead them to leave Weatherfield for good?
