Sally and Tim struck by home invasion in Coronation Street
Sally and Tim Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor and Joe Duttine) get an unpleasant shock in Coronation Street next week when they realise someone has been living in their garden shed.
At first, Sally and Tim reach the conclusion that a few mice have taken up residence in their home when they find spilt food all over the kitchen.
As Sally cleans out the cupboards, Tim bursts in from the garden and reckons the mice have also been hanging out in the shed.
When Sally takes a look though, she spots a bag inside and realises it’s not mice causing the problem – it’s a human.
Later, just as Tim takes the bag across the road to Street Cars, Mason (Luca Toolan) watches him and later confirms that bag is his, and he’s now homeless.
Life for Mason ever since he left prison has been rough. He was helped initially by Yasmeen (Shelley King) and Stu (Bill Fellows) but when Mason brought trouble to Yasmeen’s door in the form of his criminal and violent brother, she didn’t want him around anymore.
He was thankfully helped by a case worker, who found Mason a place to live – but that has clearly fallen through.
With Stu now living in Germany with granddaughter Eliza and her dad Dom, Mason doesn’t really have anyone right now.
Towards the end of the week, Tim fails to find Mason a bed for the night and tells him he can sleep on the sofa at his house.
In a new video, Tim is clearly on edge as he promises to find somewhere for Mason to stay – and hopes that Sally won’t ever find out.
A risky plan that’s bound to fall apart – how will Sally react when she finds out a troublesome teenager has been sleeping in her house, and she’s had no idea?
