Shock proposal rocks Coronation Street couple as actress is set to leave the Cobbles
A SHOCK proposal rocks a Coronation Street couple ahead of a sudden exit.
Christmas on the Cobbles is gearing up to be as dramatic as ever this year.
It’s been a rollercoaster first year back in Weatherfield for Bethany Platt, who returned on New Year’s Eve last year.
While she reunited with former love Daniel Osbourne, their relationship hasn’t ran smoothly at times.
And when she ended up in hospital in Turkey after botched liposuction, Bethany’s world was turned on it’s head as she fought for her life.
While she did survive, she was left with a stoma bag and recent weeks have seen her struggling to adjust to her new way of living.
However, in upcoming scenes, Daniel finds Bethany dressed to the nines, and he is delighted to see her looking like her old self.
But when Bethany gifts Daniel an expensive vintage watch, he seems underwhelmed and an upset Bethany confronts Daniel.
She is convinced he doesn’t want to be with her anymore but Daniel assures her she couldn’t be more wrong.
He then proceeds to get down on one knee, and asks her to marry him.
But has he done enough to convince her?
However, Coronation Street fans will be intrigued to see what happens and Bethany’s response, considering she will be leaving Weatherfield again soon.
It was revealed in August that Lucy Fallon – who plays Bethany – is pregnant with her second child.
And earlier this week, she revealed she had just a few weeks left before baby number two arrives.
Taking to Instagram, the actress posted a video alongside a heartfelt message about self-care during the final weeks of her pregnancy.
In her caption, Lucy shared: “Slow mornings, self-care, and some @floradixuk love. Spending the morning with me means cherishing these quiet moments and making time for self-care.
“With just a few weeks left until baby number 2 arrives, these routines are more important than ever.”
Lucy, who already shares son Sonny, 23 months, with Preston North End footballer Ryan Ledson.
